Mother's Day in Poland


Mother's Day - celebrated annually in Poland on May 26th as a tribute to all mothers. On this day, the children usually give their mothers cards, flowers and various gifts. This festival is to show mothers respect, love and gratitude.

19 MAY THE COMMEMORATİON OF ATATURK,YOUNTH AND SPORTS FESTİVAL
In the Turkish War of Independence Ataturk, who is the leader of national contend, landed at Samsun on May 19 1919. This is being celebrated with Younth and sports day since that event. Atatürk was gift  this day for Turkısh youngs. Turkish younth and other people sing national march and arrange special shows for that day. Ataturk also said "This day is may birthday" because of the day is so important for him.


This day is an official holiday through out the country of Turkey that occurs on the 19th of May every year. Each region will organise their own parades and shows of which school  children and universities will take part. Also called Youth Day, the celebration marks the landing of Kemal Mustafa Ataturk in 1919 in Samsun. The event started the Turkish war of Independence. Business and offices will be closed on this day and you may find some roads are closed due to marching bands parading through the streets.

                                                      MOTHER'S DAY
The second Sunday of the May is MOTHER’S DAY. Mother’s Day is a universal day. Millions of mothers in all over the world is remembered lovingly and respectfully. This is a day that honours mothers. It is celebrated in different countries and different ways. Mother’s Day has been celebrated since 1955 in our country. In this day mothers are given various gifts by their children.

The Labor Day is celebrated by meetings in our country too as in the World. 1st May is a public holiday in Türkiye. You can see some pictures of the 1st May Labor Day in Türkiye.




2nd May - Polish Flag Day

Polish festival introduced by the Act of February 20, 2004, celebrated between May 1st - Labor Day and May 3rd - Feast of the Constitution of May 3rd.

Various parades and patriotic demonstrations are organized on this day. For example, in Bytom on May 2nd, 2009 more than 500 people formed a white-red flag of pre-prepared and at the same time raised umbrellas. It is perhaps the largest flag in Poland created to celebrate Flag Day.

1st May - Labour Day in Poland



Labour Day, the International Day of Solidarity of Workers, commonly known as May 1st is an international festival of the working class. It is celebrated annually on May 1st. In Poland, Labour Day is a public holiday since 1950.

                                       AMBASSADORS OF CULTURE  İN TÜRKİYE

Our school was visited by the Cypriot ,Polish and Spanish partners to carry out the "Cultural Variety and a bridge between European Countries" Comenius Project in between 22nd-25th April 2013 in Türkiye. They were welcomed with the Turkish folk dances and shown our traditional art "Ebru" and then invited to the concert of our folk songs prepared by students in our school.The other days of the visit, our guests met the cultural and historical places,meals and so on.
